Romania

From mysterious castles to colourful villages

Romania: a surprising country full of nature, culture and charm

Romania was our first destination on our longer journey towards Central Asia, and it immediately amazed us. With our campervan and trailer, we drove across the country, passing castles that looked like they came straight out of a fairytale, colourful villages and endless nature. It felt as if we discovered a new layer of the country each day: from medieval history to warm hospitality.

About Romania

Romania is known for its impressive castles, vast mountains and charming villages. The country has a rich history, visible in its medieval towns, fortresses and colourful churches. Everywhere you’ll find picturesque squares, narrow streets and lively markets. Romanians are proud of their folklore, traditional cuisine and hospitality. Besides the vibrant capital Bucharest, cities like Sibiu, Brașov and Sighișoara, as well as natural highlights such as the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube Delta, are definitely worth a visit.
