We’re Sander and Tessa, brother and sister with a serious case of travelgenes. What started as family holidays has grown into a full-blown passion for exploring. Whether we’re hiking through mountains, discovering a new city, or travelling in our campervan, we’re always chasing adventure—and we love sharing it with you.
Grew up as siblings, now travelling together as companions on the road.
Our shared travel story
TravelGenes is truly our joint project. Tessa designed the website, and Sander captures our journeys with his camera. All TravelGenes stories are a team effort — we write them together. Whether we travel as a pair, go solo, or explore with friends, we love sharing our experiences with you.
Tessa
Tessa built the website and uses her marketing background to grow the blog. She makes sure TravelGenes is visible online and reaches more and more travellers.
Sander
Sander films and photographs our adventures, capturing each trip. He also built our campervan from scratch, a project that allows us to travel for extended periods and explore at our own pace.
